Gledhill Boilers

Capital Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd.

Gledhill Boilers, Gulfstream, Pulsacoil, Electramate, Boilermate, A Class and Systemate

Have you bought a new house that has a Gledhill Boiler fitted. Are you aware that Gledhill Water Storage Ltd. went into administration in October 2008 thus leaving many new home owners with boilers with little or no warranty to speak of that and many service and maintenance contract providers including British Gas will not provide Guarantees on.

We Capital Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd have, as a 24hour customer service provider for Persimmon Homes and Crest Nicholson Homes have been at the forefront dealing with many of their unsatisfied customers for the last 9 months.

We have also been experiencing a huge percentage of faulty parts being sent out by the new division Gledhill Responce ltd and when these are sent back to Gledhill Responce Ltd through the legitimate supply chain for refund but we receive nothing not an explanation, refund or anything if this is the experience of the trade as a whole we have over £1000 worth of parts awaiting refund.

What are your experiences open to the trade and consumers.

if you would like some further information or have a problematic boiler you can contact Capital Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd. on Tel. 01883348511 Fax. 01883347741 e-mail d.croft@btconnect.com

Flues in Voids

Are you as safe as you think you are! in October 2008 the Health and Safety Executive released a safety alert regarding Boiler Flues in voids ie ceilings/walls. http://www.hse.gov.uk/gas/domestic/alert021008.htm This was confirmed by NHBC and reciently updated in June 2009. http://www.nhbc.co.uk/Homeowners/Homewarranties/ResidentialHousing/SafetyAlertGasBoilersFluesinVoids/

If you have bought a property since 2000 that has the central heating gas boiler centrally located, i.e. in and airing cupboard on a stair case landing or alternatively an appartment where the airing cupboard is internal and not in close proximaty to the outside walls. If you ask yourself a simple question; does the boiler exit the property straight from the boiler? Yes/ No. if the answer is No then you need to have this boiler inspected by a Gas Safe Regestered Plumber who has a flue gas anylizer to check the appliance and ceiling voids.
